Jonathan Yeo
Biography
Jonathan Yeo is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie's Transactional Group based in New York.
Jonathan joined Baker McKenzie in London as a trainee in 2012, spending time in the areas of employment, corporate and intellectual property, and has completed client secondments with a global technology company, a multinational consumer goods company and a worldwide entertainment group.
He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an associate into the Corporate Group in March 2014, with a focus on global corporate reorganizations and became a senior associate in 2019.
Jonathan participated on the Associate Transfer Programme within Baker McKenzie from 2019 to 2021 in the Firm's New York office and moved to the New York office in 2023.
Practice Focus
Jonathan practices in corporate law and advises clients in relation to cross-border transactions and integrations and global corporate reorganizations and general English and New York corporate law matters. His primary focus is structuring and implementing complex cross-border reorganizations for clients in all practice areas. He is a member of Baker McKenzie's Global Reorganizations Group.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising on carve-outs and spin-offs in a number of industry sectors, including global consumer goods, market analysis, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
- Advising and coordinating global post-acquisition integrations and IP migration transactions in all industry sectors, including entertainment and media, consumer goods and fashion, cloud-based software and tech clients.
- Managing global corporate maintenance provision for multiple global key clients.
