Megumi Santo
Biography
Megumi Santo is a member of the IP/ITC Practice Group in Baker McKenzie's Tokyo office. She is a certified patent and trademark attorney in Japan. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Santo worked for an international patent and law office in Tokyo, handling trademark and design acquisitions, litigation matters, clearance searches and domain name disputes.
Practice Focus
Ms. Santo's practice focuses on domestic and international applications of trademarks and designs, responses to notifications of refusals, hearing proceedings, filings of appeals against refusals of registration, and trials for rescission of registrations. She also conducts trademark clearance searches and manages trademark portfolios for Japanese and international companies.
