Biography

Petra Hess, a counsel joined the Frankfurt office of Baker McKenzie in 2000. Since then, she has been part of the labor and employment law team and is admitted as attorney specialized in labor and employment law. Petra has participated in a book publication regarding termination protection law and has published several articles on employment law topics.

Practice Focus

Petra Hess advises companies in all relevant issues of labor and employment law. This includes the drawing up of employment and service contracts and the agreements connected to these, advice in general questions of personnel law, remuneration structures and employee participation, aspects of data protection as well as the hiring and termination of executives. Furthermore, she advises companies in connection with complex restructuring measures. Petra is a member of the Employment & Compensation Group of Baker McKenzie and of the Global Consumer Goods & Retail Industry Group and the Healthcare & Life Science Group.

Acted as trusted advisor for day to day employment advice for an international client in the technologies industry.
Advising a large biotech company on restructuring matters and in connection with works council issues.
Advising an international medical tech company in connection with mergers and acquisitions and integration matters.
Advising several international clients on the implementation of equity plans.
Advising several international clients on the statutory provisions specific to the pandemic.
