Juan Carlos (Juan) Guerra-Gascon
Biography
Juan Carlos Guerra joined the Firm in 2007, and his practice and expertise is mainly focused in real estate, mining, agrarian, infrastructure and project finance transactions, including structuring and financing of real estate developments of industrial, commercial tourist and residential nature. Likewise, he offers advice and consulting on public tenders, trusts, construction, mining, foreign investment, financial and credit operations. Juan Carlos also continuously works and supports various Mexican and foreign technology companies (soft-tech, prop-tech, fin-tech and others) in their day-to-day operations in Mexico, including structuring and implementing funding and capitalization through public and private investors.
Juan Carlos is an expert translator from English to Spanish and vice versa, authorized by the Supreme Court for the State of Jalisco.

Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Air Transat in a multi-phase transaction involving the financing settlement and sale of an ongoing real estate development in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, to The Excellence Group.
- Advised Rasa Land Investors on the acquisition of 1,200 hectares pertaining to private owners and agrarian regime members, for the development of a tourism-residential complex in Jalisco, México.
- Advised Sandvik Group, a multinational mining equipment company on the implementation of the legal structure and documentation for the sale and financing of mining machinery and equipment.
- Represented foreign governments in the acquisition, construction phase and regulatory compliance for the setting up of diplomatic missions in diverse cities in Mexico.
- Assisted a global technology and specialty materials company in the coordination, logistics, negotiation and implementation of the legal structure for the construction of a natural gas pipeline.
- Assistance to diverse global companies with the leasing, construction and operation of industrial facilities and office spaces throughout Mexico, including companies such as, Koch Industries, Archer Daniels Midland, Hitachi, Stanley Black and Decker, Emerson, etc.
- Advice to Molex de México and Haitian International, in the negotiation, audit and financing process, for the acquisition of diverse properties in the State of Jalisco for the establishment of manufacturing facilities, including coordination and negotiation of economic incentives by the Government of the State of Jalisco.
