Practice Focus
Gabrielle advises businesses on EU climate, sustainability and sustainable tax matters. Gabrielle combines years of practical experience in tax and sustainability matters and government/ stakeholder engagement with strong academic and research skills in policy, politics, philosophy and sustainability to support businesses and help them unlocking transformation towards greener practices and climate transition.
Gabrielle currently provides ESG legal and strategic advice (including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD and voluntary frameworks), leads the sustainability and tax workstream in EMEA and supports the global sustainability service line with business development. Gabrielle also leads gender-equality, diversity & inclusion and mental health initiatives in-house, with tracked record of effective culture and policy changes in the London office.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised multinational companies on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Taxonomy Regulation, including by taking into account current and upcoming due diligence obligations (under national and EU law).
- Advised a global company on a business review to identify, address and mitigate risks around tax and governance which involved over 60 interviews with senior stakeholders, review of documentation and business operations.
- Represented global businesses in judicial and administrative disputes in the UK and in Brazil.
- Coordinated cross-border and cross-practice advice on tax, legal and sustainability matters for global organisations in the course of legal advice and transactions.
- Provided pro-Bono advice on human rights for local and global organisations, including legal research, advice, practice notes and policy briefs.
- Led project management, mentoring and development of internal/ external D&I, well-being, equality and social mobility initiatives.
