Biography

Monica Ericson is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Capital Markets Group in Stockholm. Monica has acted for private equity funds, publicly listed companies, investment banks and placement agents, on cross-border and domestic transactions involving equity securities.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2023, she was an associate in another international law firm and has previously been an employee at the Financial Supervisory Authority of Sweden.

Practice Focus

Monica focuses her practice on capital markets and public M&A, including regulatory and transactional matters pertaining to IPOs, private placements, rights issues, public takeovers and corporate governance. Monica acts on behalf of public and private issuers in a range of industries, including healthcare and real estate.

  • Advised Awardit's independent bid committee in the approximately SEK 1,143 million public takeover offer from Fayes.

  • Advised J.P. Morgan and ABG Sundal Collier in Sagax's primary issuance of shares of approximately SEK 2.1 billion.

  • Advised Carnegie Investment Bank, Handelsbanken Capital Markets and Nordea Bank Abp, filial i Sverige in Nobia's rights issue of approximately SEK 1.26 billion.
