Emanuel has over 23 years' experience advising on all aspects of construction matters at both the 'front end' and 'back end'.
Emanuel is recognised as a leading construction and projects lawyer and is ranked by Chambers AsiaPacific, Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Who's Who and Best Lawyers.
Practice Focus
Emanuel has prepared and negotiated complex construction contracts for large scale commercial and residential projects as well as in the energy, health, hospitality and mining sectors. He has expertise in the renewable energy sector having drafted and negotiated contracts in the wind and solar industry in Australia since 2010. Emanuel has worked extensively with industry standards and has drafted and negotiated a range of project documentation including Engineer Procure Construct (EPC), lump sum, Design and Construct (D&C), guaranteed maximum price, cost plus, project management and consultant contracts.
Emanuel has extensive experience in acting for clients in large scale complex construction litigation having appeared in the High, Supreme, Federal and Land and Environment Courts. Emanuel acted for Brookfield Multiplex Construction on its landmark 7-0 appeal to the High Court of Australia.
