Biography
Diren Aksu is an associate in the Banking and Finance Practice Group in Germany. Her practice covers all types of bank financings with a focus on real estate finance, acquisitions finance, asset finance, corporate lending and debt restructurings. Diren studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. She was first admitted to practice in 2023.
Practice Focus
Diren advises banks, insurance companies and debt funds as lenders as well as companies, private equity firms and other institutional borrowers on all kinds of credit financings. A focus of her work are complex real estate financings – acquisition financings and refinancing, asset deals and share deals, portfolio financings and real estate development financing. Further, she advises on corporate lending and leveraged finance transactions.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advising Helaba, BayernLB and Berlin Hyp as lenders on a EUR 505 million refinancing of a real estate portfolio owned by subsidiaries of VIB Immobilien AG.
