Global law firm Baker McKenzie has moved its Warsaw office to Varso Tower, the European Union's tallest office building. The new space provides the Baker McKenzie team with a comfortable, eco-friendly and modern office in a prestigious and award-winning building.

The lease with HB Reavis, owner and manager of the Varso Place complex, was signed at the beginning of 2024, and the move was completed in the first days of January 2025. The office lease project at Varso Tower was led by Weronika Achramowicz, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie in Poland, Marcin Iwaniszyn, Partner and head of the Banking and Finance practice, and Katarzyna Goll, Operations Director.

“Warsaw is constantly changing, developing and modernizing. We think similarly about Baker McKenzie. Our firm has been operating in Poland for over 30 years. During this time, we have changed office locations several times. Each move marked a new stage in our operations, the need for more space, and emphasising our successes with a prestigious location. At the beginning of January, we have commenced another chapter in the history of our firm, in the European Union's tallest office building,” says Weronika Achramowicz. “Our office has been designed with the needs of various user groups in mind: clients, lawyers and business support teams. The building's infrastructure, modern technological solutions and Varso Tower's Green building certifications set new standards in the office real estate market in this part of Europe.”

Varso Tower is part of the Varso Place complex located on ul. Chmielna in Warsaw. As the tallest building in the European Union, it has rapidly become one of  the capital's landmarks. Designed by the renowned architectural studio Foster + Partners, Varso Tower meets the highest environmental standards. The building also received one of the first WELL pre-certifications in Poland, confirming its positive impact on people's mental and physical well-being.

“Choosing a workplace for our team is a key decision that affects daily efficiency, satisfaction, and professional development. We appreciate the care with which the designers and contractors of our office project approached issues of ecology and the comfort of our people who are present on a daily basis,” emphasizes Marcin Iwaniszyn. “We are providing the Baker McKenzie team with contemporary interiors that positively impact well-being and work efficiency in the demanding legal services market. The new environment will allow us to strengthen our position among the largest and most prestigious law firms in Poland and become a platform for further successes, of which our employees and cooperating partners will be proud.”
The uniqueness of the office building is underscored not only by its exceptional architecture but also by the ceiling heights, panoramic vistas, natural ventilation, direct connection to the Central Railway Station, numerous parking for cars and bicycles and its central downtown location.

Varso Tower has been the winner of the most important industry awards, as well as on several occasions the title of the best office building in Poland, and Europe. The technical solutions used in the building, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, received awards from the Pascal 2023 award committee.

“Supporting the well-being and productivity of users is our most important goal,” says Natalia Kasperska, Senior Leasing Manager at HB Reavis Investments Poland. “Varso Tower has succeeded not only as an exceptional piece of architecture, but also as an outstanding office space designed with care for the people working in it. This is precisely why the project has been so well-received.”

The total of 70,000 square meters of office space in Varso Tower is currently almost fully leased. In finalising the lease, Baker McKenzie was supported by experts from the advisory firm Colliers, and the office design project was prepared by the architectural studio BIT Creative.

“It is an honour and pleasure to support companies that are aware of the needs of their clients and employees. When choosing an office, Baker McKenzie was looking for a space that would become an efficient and comfortable work and meeting environment, as well as an inspiring place that impresses with its architecture and character,” says Katarzyna Tasarek-Skrok, Director, Office Space Department at Colliers.

“The inspiration for the interior design project was the harmonious combination of minimalist Japanese aesthetics with New York chic. The goal was to create an elegant and timeless office using natural materials such as stone, wood and wallpapers made from raw materials. The space is enriched with works of art by Polish artists, which, combined with subtle wall and ceiling details, create a coherent and minimalist whole. The entire project combines functionality with aesthetics, providing an inspiring space for work and relaxation,” concludes Barnaba Grzelecki, founder of BIT Creative.
