Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Marina De Vivo as a new partner. With her extensive expertise, De Vivo will enhance the Firm’s capabilities in Italy, further solidifying its position as a go-to resource for transactional/M&A matters.
Globally, Baker McKenzie also announced the promotion of appointing 66 lawyers to partner1, effective 1 July 2024, with the exception of colleagues based in North America and some locations in Latin America, whose promotions took effect on 1 January 2024. With 48 lateral partners also joining Baker McKenzie's offices1 this financial year, the Firm has added a total of 114 partners globally since 1 July 2023.
Women account for 52% of this year's partner promotions, equivalent to 34 out of 66 promotions. This is the Firm's highest percentage of women partner promotions to date and underscores Baker McKenzie’s ongoing commitment to fostering a more gender equitable future.
Anna Marina De Vivo, a member of the M&A group, has significant cross-border and domestic experience in corporate acquisitions and reorganisations of multinational groups. Some of the most recent transactions Anna Marina De Vivo advised on included counselling Vandemoortele, one of Europe's leading food groups, in its acquisition of Dolciaria Acquaviva S.p.A., an Italian company active in the production of high quality frozen bakery products, from private equity fund Apheon, and Burberry, a London-based British luxury brand listed on the London Stock Exchange, in the acquisition of a business unit from Pattern S.p.A, a long-established Italian supplier and one of the biggest players in the design, engineering, development, prototyping and production of clothing lines for the world's most prestigious top-end brands.
