Baker McKenzie advises Emeren Group on its agreement with Glennmont to develop a pipeline of battery storage projects in Italy

Baker McKenzie advised Emeren Group, a world leader in the development, ownership and management of solar projects, on its agreement with Glennmont, one of the world's largest fund managers investing in clean energy, for the acquisition and development of two battery storage projects in Campania with a total capacity of 155 megawatts (up to 1.24 gigawatt-hours of capacity), and the future acquisition and development of other large-scale storage projects in southern Italy.

Baker McKenzie's Energy Finance team, coordinated by Alberto Fornari, was led by Giorgio Telarico and assisted by Associates Francesco Ciociola and Camilla Bassi and Trainee Alice Mariani. The team worked in collaboration with Francesco Vita, general counsel of Emeren Group, and the in-house legal department.
