Baker McKenzie strengthens its Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) practice with Dr. Andrea Soprano (née Braun) as counsel. She will join the Frankfurt office on February 1, 2024 from Noerr where she practiced as an Associated Partner.

Andrea Soprano's practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency law. She advises German and international companies, shareholders, creditors and other stakeholders from a wide range of industries comprehensively on all restructuring and insolvency law issues. In particular, she regularly advises company management on legal risks and insolvency filing obligations in the event of a company crisis, financial institutions and investors on the financial restructuring of borrowers or in their insolvency proceedings, on trustee structures and on M&A transactions arising from the crisis or insolvency, both on the seller and the buyer side.
Most recently, Andrea Soprano advised, inter alia, the Aluminium Rheinfelden Group on the sale of the debtor company to RUSAL, the restructuring shareholder Team Treuhand GmbH on the takeover of the German railroad business of Keolis and Condor Flugdienst GmbH in connection with the takeover of the shares in Condor by the London-based financial investor Attestor Capital.

The group's recent notable mandates include providing legal advice to BMW in connection with the insolvency proceedings of Allgaier, advising the bank consortium on the adjustment of the financing of the PIA Automation Group and the Gienanth Group in connection with its ongoing restructuring in self-administration.
