Each year, French companies with 50 or more employees are required to calculate and publish their Gender Equality Index. Our office in Paris scores 89 out of 100 points in 2023, based on the previous year's data, with the following indicators:

  • Gender pay gap: 29/40 (in favor of women)
  • Difference in the rate of individual salary increases between women and men: 35/35
  • Percentage of employees who returned from maternity leave during the reporting year and received a raise upon their return: 15/15
  • Number of employees of the underrepresented gender among the ten highest paid employees: 10/10.

Diversity is part of our DNA and inclusion is one of Baker McKenzie's fundamental values. Within the Firm, a Global Diversity & Inclusion Committee develops diversity and inclusion strategy, creates initiatives and tracks progress through a gender equality dashboard and employee engagement survey at Baker McKenzie offices around the world.
