Serhiy Chorny has been a Co-Managing Partner of the Kyiv office of Baker McKenzie since 2010 and has been heading the Kyiv office's Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice groups. Serhiy focuses primarily on cross-border lending, structured finance, securitization, debt capital markets and debt restructuring. He is highly ranked by leading international and Ukrainian legal directories, including Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, The Legal 500 EMEA and IFLR1000, in various practice areas. Serhiy joined the Firm in 1993 and became a partner in 1998.
Viacheslav Yakymchuk has been heading the Firm's Corporate/M&A and Private Equity practice groups in the Kyiv office since 2008. Viacheslav is seasoned in handling European M&A transactions and has extensive experience in private equity and equity capital markets. His client focus is on the industrial and TMT sectors. Viacheslav is ranked as a top-tier practitioner in the areas of corporate law, M&A and capital markets by Chambers, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500. Viacheslav has been with Baker McKenzie for 18 years and became a partner in 2008.
In 2022 Baker McKenzie marked the 30th anniversary of its operations in Ukraine.
