New Government, New Law?

Date & Time

18 July 2024 11:00 AM - 18 July 2024 12:00 PM GMT Standard Time

On Thursday, 4th July, the UK voted for a new Labour government. In its manifesto, the Labour party promised sweeping changes to UK employment law, and now has a mandate to deliver them. But what does this mean for employers?

Taking place the day after the State Opening of Parliament and the King’s Speech, join us for this timely and informative session, where we will hear from our London employment partners Julia Wilson, Kim Sartin, Jon Tuck, and Stephen Ratcliffe.

Together, they will discuss the implications of the new government's employment law proposals, and a reminder of what's recently in force that may become amplified risks given the new government's manifesto, covering critical topics such as:

  • collective rights
  • holiday pay
  • family-friendly rights
  • changes to unfair dismissal
  • worker status

This webinar promises to provide valuable insights and guidance for navigating the evolving landscape of employment law, and will explore not only what's on the horizon, but how employers can prepare.
