Biography

Dr. Werner Vandenbruwaene (PhD) is a senior associate in the International Commercial & Trade Practice Group in the Brussels and Antwerp offices. He joined Baker McKenzie in 2019 after several years in the academy.

Practice Focus

Werner advises on a wide spectrum of matters in public law, with a focus on environmental law and public procurement. He also litigates administrative and judicial proceedings.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised many large companies on public procurement issues.
  • Assisted telecommunication operators in zoning and planning matters.
  • Assisted in several large industrial projects on energy and renewables from incipience to closing of contracts.
  • Broad litigation experience in civil and public law.
