Mercedes Subhani
Biography
Mercedes graduated from Maryland Carey Law and along with her J.D. she was also the recipient of the International Association of Privacy Professionals Westin Scholar Award. During law school, Mercedes interned at the White House Office of Science and Technology. She was invited by the White House Office of the National Cyber Director to speak at its inaugural "Women in Cyber" global event.
Practice Focus
Mercedes leverages her experiences in the think tank, private, and government sectors to advise clients across an array of industries in several subgroups of the Firm's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. In data privacy and security, Mercedes advices clients with the development and implementation of complex AI and privacy compliance programs and risk assessments. In cybersecurity, Mercedes assists clients with proactive and reactive cybersecurity and data protection services in matters related to incident preparedness and response, compliance with global cyber laws and data governance. Additionally, Mercedes helps represent clients on intellectual property matters that arise within corporate transactions and involve brand enforcement.
