Evgeniya Shagarina
Biography
Evgeniya Shagarina is an associate in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group of Baker McKenzie's Toronto office. She joined the Moscow (Russia) office of the Firm in 2006 where she worked until she relocated to Canada in 2017. She completed her articles of clerkship with the Toronto office of the Firm in 2021 and is now a dual-qualified lawyer (Ontario, Canada and Russia) with over 10 years of experience in the common and civil law jurisdictions.
Practice Focus
Evgeniya's key areas of expertise are general transactional matters and corporate law, with a particular focus on corporate reorganizations. She has a background in contract law, compliance and healthcare regulatory matters, and during her work in Russia she was placed on several long-term secondments with healthcare clients of the Firm.
