Valentin Polla
Biography
Valentin Polla is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate/M&A Practice Group in Vienna. He studied law at the University of Vienna, where he worked for one and a half years as a research assistant at the Institute for Corporate and Commercial Law. Valentin also gained valuable experience while working for a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to joining the Firm he completed his legal clerkship at various courts in Austria and worked for several renowned national and international law firms in Vienna.
Practice Focus
Valentin focuses on mergers & acquisitions, reorganizations, private equity, corporate litigation, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and general corporate law matters. He advises domestic and international clients on M&A transactions, complex corporate restructurings (national and cross-border), joint ventures, as well as general corporate, compliance, commercial and contract law matters.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Worthington Enterprises (NYSE: WOR), a leading designer and manufacturer of consumer and building products, on the sale of 49% of Worthington’s Sustainability Energy Solutions business segment to Hexagon Composites ASA forming a joint venture with Hexagon Composites ASA.
- Advised the (insolvent) Gienanth Group on the sale of its subsidiaries in Steyer (Austria), Eisenberg (Palatinate), Kulmbach and Fronberg.
