Acted for a contractor in relation to a SAR 700 million claim on a Jeddah project involving a hotel, convention center and mosque. The claim was based on non-payment of amounts due and damages flowing from non-payment (including delay, disruption and financing costs).

Represented a Spanish global construction and engineering company in a multi-jurisdictional dispute with a Saudi shareholder over a joint venture in Saudi Arabia and the liquidation of the joint venture.

Advised our client, an international construction company, on its rights and obligations in relation to the construction of a major financial project.

Advised a contractor in relation to a claim involving non-payment and delay issues on a project with Saudi Electricity Company. The claim was valued in excess of SAR 500 million.

Represented an international energy and oil field services company in three cases filed against them by their Saudi partner in a major joint venture company, claiming mismanagement and demanding liquidation. All three cases were dismissed.

Represented an international IT company in a dispute with Saudi JV partner involving arbitrations in Saudi Arabia and the US and resulting in liquidation of JV and transfer of business to a branch opened by our client.

Represented a leading international electrical contractor re a dispute with Saudi partner resulting in favorable court decisions and exit of Saud partner from JV.

Represented a major international oil services company in a complex dispute with two Saudi JV partners ending with settlement involving the latter’s exit from JV.

Represented an international oil major in complex litigation on contested exit from JV including numerous favorable court decisions, liquidation of JV company and takeover of its territory by another JV controlled by our client.

Advised an authorized distributor of Japanese multinational automotives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on various matters including product recalls, competition issues, employment disputes, and various litigation cases.

Represented a large Saudi IT/C company in an arbitration in Saudi Arabia.

Represented a multinational goods company in an arbitration with its Saudi partner.

Represented a large multi-national consumer company and its affiliates in several disputes with its Saudi partner over the distribution agreement and liquidation of joint venture.
