Biography

Monika Michałowska is an advocate admitted to practice in Poland and an associate in the mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity practices at the Baker McKenzie office in Warsaw.

Monika graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2018. In addition, she completed a course in English and European law organised by the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies at the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the University of Cambridge. She qualified as an advocate in 2022.

Before joining the Firm in January 2023, Monika had worked at other renowned Polish and international law firms in Warsaw since 2016.

Practice Focus

Monika is experienced in civil and commercial law. She has advised both Polish and international clients on complex M&A and joint-venture transactions in many different business sectors, including healthcare, gaming and TMT. Her experience also includes complex corporate reorganization projects.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Innova Capital on a transaction involving the sale of Inelo (a provider of digital solutions for global vehicle positioning, driving time analysis and settlement software).

  • Advised HigoSense (a digital healthcare provider) and its founders in connection with a EUR 5 million Series A funding round.

  • Advised TCV on the sale of shares in the public offering of Grupa Pracuj.

  • Advised CANAL+ on its acquisition of 70% of the shares in SPI International B.V., the majority shareholder of Kino Polska TV S.A.
