Biography
Dr. Jan Lucas Gutsche is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Dusseldorf office and a member of the Corporate/M&A Practice Group. He has several years of experience in advising corporate clients and private equity investors on M&A transactions. Prior to rejoining as an associate in 2022, he spent two and a half years working for the team as a law clerk while completing his doctoral studies as well as throughout his subsequent legal clerkship. During this time, he already gained extensive insights in all aspects of corporate law. Jan also spent a stage of his legal clerkship at another international law firm.
Practice Focus
Jan focuses his practice in particular on strategic M&A and private equity transactions. These encompass a broad range of transaction types, including domestic and international acquisitions and divestments. He also regularly advises on joint ventures and general corporate law matters.
