Ischa Gobius du Sart
Biography
Ischa leads the Benelux IP Prosecution team at Baker McKenzie Amsterdam and is a certified trademark and design attorney, as well as a legal advisor. With more than 20 years of experience in commercial intellectual property law, Ischa specializes in IP protection, trademarks, designs, copyrights, and domain names. He acts as both a Benelux and European trademark and design attorney and serves as a legal advisor, focusing on trademark and design legislation.
Ischa has extensive experience in global trademark and design protection, strategic IP advice, opposition and infringement procedures, and portfolio management. He is also involved in legal cases related to trademark and design rights, and advises clients on Benelux, European, and international IP matters, including complex prosecution and cancellation procedures. Ischa has been involved in numerous international trademark clearance projects.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in 2008, Ischa served as a trademark attorney at Zacco Netherlands (formerly Shield Mark) and Intermark, which merged with Knijff & Partners in 2004. He has been a certified Benelux trademark and design attorney since 2001, and has held the qualification of European trademark and design attorney before the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) since 2002.
Practice Focus
Ischa advises on all aspects of brand management, brand enforcement and disputes. Services provided include trademarks and design registration and protection, which includes clearance searches, oppositions, cancellations, revocations, assignments, infringements and transactions involving intellectual property. Ischa works on the worldwide trade mark portfolio of national companies as well as multinationals.
