Biography

Miju Damodar is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Transactional Practice Group, based in the New York office.

Practice Focus

Miju advises clients on a range of debt financing transactions, including leveraged and acquisition financings and restructurings, fund-level subscription and portfolio-based financings, asset-based financings and other secured and unsecured lending transactions. Miju advises clients across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare and energy.

Representative Legal Matters

Prior to joining the Firm, Miju advised:

  • A global private equity firm in the financing aspects of its acquisition and subsequent combination of two leading companies in the label solutions industry, to create the world’s largest label solutions company.
  • A healthcare services company in its successful out-of-court restructuring, which included new money revolving and term loan financings and uptier debt exchanges.
  • A major financial institution in various senior secured credit facilities provided to finance cross-border acquisitions of companies in the US and Canada.
  • Various subscription (or capital call) facilities and NAV-based facilities for private equity and other investment funds.
  • An investment management firm in connection with various direct lending investments, including second lien credit facilities provided for sponsor-backed acquisitions and secured and unsecured mezzanine debt.
