Biography

Filiberto Brozzetti is of counsel in the Information Technology & Communications practice group of Baker McKenzie Italy.

Practice Focus

As a former legal adviser to two different members of the board of the Italian Data Protection Authority, for seven years and two successive terms, Filiberto gained unique experience, dealing not only with technical-legal support for the board's activities on specific implementations of national and European data protection legislation, but also with international, institutional and academic relations at the highest level.

Filiberto is one of the leading professionals on data protection and new technology law, with a specific focus on AI.

This has earned him the position of assistant professor of AI, Law and Ethics at LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome, where he is coordinator of the law and technology teaching area of the Department of Law and teaches legal theory, data protection law and law and ethics of innovation.

He is also a consultant on data protection rules to facilitate international cooperation in counterterrorism of the United Nations Office for Counter Terrorism.
