Biography

Tamim's practice focuses on corporate transactions. He is actively assisting in relation to ongoing corporate matters to both Saudi-based and foreign entities in the health and pharmaceutical, IT/C, industrial and food sectors. Tamim interacts with regulators on a regular basis, including SAGIA, MoCI, SFDA and CITC.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advising Shell Saudi Arabia Refining Limited (Shell) on the sale of their 50% share of the Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) joint venture in Jubail Industrial City, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for USD 631 million to the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).
  • Advising the VFS Group in relation to an acquisition of Al Etimad Modern Business Solutions Company (Etimad), Modern Traveler Services Company (Vega) and Abyaar Modern Commercial Services Limited (Abyaar) by VF Worldwide Holdings Ltd. and VF Services (UK) Limited.
  • Advising global pharmaceuticals companies on SFDA practices (Drug sales, importation, pricing regulations, and secondary packaging).
  • Advising global pharmaceuticals companies in relation to the importation, sale and registration of medical devices.
  • Advising foreign clients to form entities in Saudi Arabia to conduct consultancy services for the medical sector, clinical trials and trading of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
  • Assisting an on-demand cloud computing platforms provider in relation to the set-up of a presence in Saudi Arabia for hosting data servers and conducting Cloud Computing Services.
  • Assisting an e-commerce and cloud computing company in relation to the integration of its business in the GCC/MENA region, including advising them on business and licensing requirements; marketplace seller vetting requirements; customs; consumer protection; competition and data privacy requirements.
  • Advising an on-demand cloud computing platforms provider in relation to the new Cloud Computing Regulatory Framework recently adopted in the Kingdom and on the implementation of these rules by the telecom regulator (the CITC) and other agencies.
  • Assisting a network solutions and service provider in relation to its commercial licenses in Saudi Arabia.
  • Assisting an American multinational in relation to its joint venture and establishment of a limited liability company in Saudi Arabia including commercial licenses.
  • Assisting an engineering and general machining company in relation to the establishment of its trading branch.
