Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie announced today that capital markets attorney Andrés Barroso has joined its Transactional team as a Partner in Mexico City. Andrés joins a growing team in the Firm which has added 50 partners over the past two years globally, including a strong presence across Mexico and Latin America.
Andres Barroso is a seasoned attorney with nearly 20 years of experience in local and international law firms, during which he has advised Mexican and foreign companies in financing operations, securities and other types of deals. He is a leading advisor on capital markets in Mexico and has participated in many transformative transactions during his career.

Andrés joins a robust team in Mexico City, which complements the focus that Baker McKenzie has placed in Mexico , as exemplified by the arrivals of partners Arturo Carrillo, Michael Fitzgerald, Joy Gallup and Pedro Reyes, along with Steven Sandretto, all of whom are based in New York and have ties to the Latin America region, and the addition of an elite transactional team in the Los Angeles office.

Andrés graduated Law School in Mexico’s Universidad Iberoamericana before completing an LLM by Columbia Law School, he also holds a postgraduate diploma in finance by Universidad Iberoamericana.
