Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie announced today that the Lima, Peru and New York offices represented Corporación Pesquera Inca S.A.C. (Copeinca) in connection with the sale by its indirect parent company PF Cayman New Holdco Limited of Copeinca to Cooke Inc. Headquartered in Lima, Peru, Copeinca is Peru's largest fishing company and one of the world's largest fishmeal and fish oil producers. Canada based Cooke is one of the leading seafood producers in the world.

Pursuant to a share purchase agreement, Cooke indirectly acquired 100% of the outstanding shares of Copeinca.

The Baker McKenzie team included Transactional Practice Group partners Pablo Berckholtz and Liliana Espinosa in Peru and Steven Canner, Steven Sandretto, Mike Fitzgerald and Arturo Carrillo in New York. The team also included associates Carolina Gonzalez (New York) and Juan Francisco del Campo (Lima).

Other law firms participating on this transaction included McCarthy Tetrault (counsel to Cooke) and Miranda & Amado (Peruvian counsel to Cooke).
