Maurice Bellan, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie’s Washington, DC, office, received the Best Mentor Award, recognizing Maurice’s exceptional commitment to fostering talent and supporting the next generation of legal professionals. With a career spanning over two decades, Maurice has consistently demonstrated an unwavering dedication to mentoring young lawyers, helping them navigate the complexities of the legal industry, and guiding them toward success.

Maurice has had a significant impact on numerous lawyers in Baker McKenzie's DC office and throughout the Firm as they navigated the early years of their career. Maurice is a member of the Firm’s North America Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice and a former trial attorney at the US Department of Justice. 

Baker McKenzie was also a recipient of the Legal Services Innovation Award. The Firm was recognized for its groundbreaking Baker Machine Learning team (BakerML), in addition to the Firm’s work advising clients on AI issues.  As a pioneer in the use of AI-driven legal tools and the integration of data analytics in decision-making, Baker McKenzie has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to innovation.

Danielle Benecke, founder of BakerML, previously received the Vanguard Award in Law.com’s California Legal Awards, as the Firm continues to be recognized for its market-leading AI and machine learning capabilities.
