Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie today announces the appointment of Marco Deutsch as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Based in Chicago, Marco will lead Baker McKenzie's Global Technology function and team, with responsibility for the development of the Firm's IT strategy and the provision of IT services across all offices. He joins from Fragomen, where he has served as Chief Digital and Technology Officer since 2021. Marco succeeds Paul Domnick in the role, who is retiring from Baker McKenzie.

Marco brings more than 25 years of experience in IT and business consulting roles to the Firm. He has a strong track record delivering successful transformation programs, IT operations excellence, and business innovation. Marco has extensive experience in professional services, having served in several senior technology and business consulting executive roles at Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, and KPMG over the course of his career. His expertise also spans the healthcare sector; he served as Global VP IT & CIO Global Functions & Shared Services at NYSE-listed, healthcare multinational company Baxter between 2009 and 2016.

Marco holds an MBA/Diplom Kaufmann in Information Technology, Taxation and Accounting from the University of Passau in Germany.
