Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce that Partner Martin Tam has been appointed to the Process Review Panel for the Insurance Authority (PRP) for a two-year term, effective from 1 November 2023.
The PRP is an independent panel established with the approval of the Chief Executive on 1 November 2019 to review and advise the Insurance Authority (IA) on the adequacy of the IA’s internal procedures and operational guidelines governing the actions taken and operational decisions made by the IA and its staff in the performance of the IA’s regulatory functions.
About the appointment, Martin Tam, who co-chairs the Firm’s Asia Pacific Insurance Group, said, "I am honoured to be elected to the Panel. I look forward to bringing my legal and industry expertise to the table, and working closely with the Chairman and fellow panel members in this new capacity.”
