Global law firm Baker McKenzie has announced that Arturo Carrillo, Michael Fitzgerald and Joy Gallup have joined as transactional partners in the New York office. Widely recognized as leading global capital markets and finance lawyers, the team advises clients on a mix of equity and debt offerings, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring matters. They have extensive experience working on Latin America-focused transactions and bring additional depth to complex cross-border deals.

Michael represents a wide range of international and domestic underwriter and issuer clients in debt and equity financing transactions, merger and acquisition activities and lending transactions. Arturo represents private and state-owned foreign companies, investment banks, bank groups and sovereign states in cross-border capital markets and liability management transactions, structured financings, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on Latin America matters. He has been recognized by Chambers Latin America -International Counsel Capital Markets and Chambers Global USA -Capital Markets: Debt & Equity.
Joy represents underwriters and international issuers in private and public offerings of debt and equity securities. Her practice includes cross-border liability management transactions, high-yield debt, green bonds, project bond offerings, syndicated loans and other structured deal products. She also handles corporate reorganizations, secured lending transactions, equity tender offers and general corporate matters. Joy has been recognized by Chambers Global Latin America - International Counsel Banking & Finance and International Counsel Capital Markets, and The Legal 500 for Capital Markets.
In addition to Michael, Arturo and Joy, Pedro Reyes will join Baker McKenzie's Transactional Practice in New York as a partner as well as several associates.
