Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie is pleased to welcome Caracas-based partner Serviliano Abache Carvajal to the firm's Tax group.
Serviliano is an expert in international taxation, advising domestic and multinational enterprises in a wide-array of industries on the implications arising from different economic activities like cross-border transactions, joint ventures, M&A, and transfer pricing.
Additionally, Serviliano has extensive litigation experience in Venezuelan tax courts and in administrative proceedings before the tax authorities. Before joining Baker McKenzie, he worked at his own firm Abache - Abogados, a boutique specialized in consulting and strategic tax litigation.

The hire of Serviliano comes after a recent lateral appointment in Latin America, Bogota-based Juan David Velasco, who joined as partner from Posse Herrera Ruiz.
