Baker McKenzie continues to grow its Banking & Finance team, with the appointment of Holly Hart as a partner, based in Sydney. This comes only 2 months after the appointment of Brendan Smith (formerly of King & Wood Mallesons), as the Firm continues to respond to increased client demand.
Holly is a corporate trust and agency practitioner, specialising in capital markets and banking, advising corporate trustees and agents, and working with clients across the Asia Pacific region. She acts on debt issuances, the establishment of debt programmes, the issuing of structured debt instruments, securitisations, Islamic financing, bond and loan defaults, restructurings and general corporate loan facilities.
Baker McKenzie's National Managing Partner, Anthony Foley, stated: "Holly is an exceptional lawyer with first class experience and connections locally and regionally. With a rich and varied background (including Programme Director at the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management), we are excited about Holly joining us and contributing to the expansion of our thriving Banking and Finance practice".
In joining the Firm, Holly stated: "Baker McKenzie is uniquely placed to assist global clients requiring execution in more than one jurisdiction, whilst at the same time having local legal expertise. Given the high calibre team of lawyers servicing market-leading clients on highly complex matters, I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to grow my practice with this team."
Duncan McGrath, Baker McKenzie's Australian Head of Banking & Finance, commented: "We're excited to have Holly join the Firm's Banking & Finance practice where she will add further depth to our greatly expanded domestic and offshore offering as we continue to respond to increasing client demand."
Holly joins from Singapore, where she has spent the last decade with Allen & Overy.
