Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie took home four awards at Euromoney's Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2022, which returned as an in-person event in New York on 9 June.
The Lima office was recognized with two awards: "Peru Firm of the Year" and "Best Latin America Firm for Career Development" due to its outstanding effort in supporting the development of women in the profession and implementing programs to enable women to pursue long-term careers in the legal industry.
On top of these accolades, two Baker McKenzie lawyers were recognized as leading practitioners in their fields. They were awarded for demonstrating excellence and innovation, and for being active advocates of gender diversity across the legal sector.
- Aviation Lawyer of the Year – Jennifer Trock, partner in the Washington office in the US and chair of Baker McKenzie's Global Aviation Group and North America International Commercial Practice.
- Trademark Lawyer of the Year – Stephanie Vaccari, managing partner of the Toronto office in Canada and a member of the Intellectual Property Practice.
Speaking after the ceremony, Baker McKenzie's Global Inclusion & Diversity Committee Chair, Kirsty Wilson, said, "At Baker McKenzie, we are deeply committed to continue listening and taking a meaningful approach to better include and promote the advancement of women and various underrepresented groups at our Firm."
