Description

The Senior Coordinator, Proposal will prepare first draft pitch documents collaborating with the Pitch Lead or Global Client Pursuits (GCP) team. The role-holder will be assigned to a high volume of pitch requests, either supporting local offices and regional teams with day-to-day fast turnaround pitches or assigned to senior pitch teams for high-value and complex pitching. They will handle various tasks and pitching responsibilities throughout the pitch lifecycle, supporting key Pitch Enablement projects and sharing best practice with junior team members. The individual will perform all job duties committed to providing superior services to our clients, producing work products of the highest quality, and fostering an atmosphere of teamwork. 

Responsibilities:

Pitch delivery support:

  • Prepare first draft pitch documents based on the Pitch Lead's brief
  • Write and tailor content (including creating a first draft of non-complex executive summaries to support Pitch Lead efforts and creating new content based on existing materials)
  • Develop presentation materials, including placemats for GCP-led pitches and pursuits
  • Handle intake requests for GCP service
  • Coordinate and organize input from multiple offices (e.g., outreach re CVs, capability matrices, deals, etc.)
  • Liaise and follow up with lead partner/s as a matter of urgency or as needed e.g. when the pitch lead is unavailable 
  • Populate client templates and client questionnaires hosted on portals
  • Format and proofread GCP-led pitches
  • On-time draft delivery of pitches and input, meeting internal deadlines and requirements
  • Continually support the pitch lifecycle, providing back-end pitch support to local offices or regional teams

Research and reporting:

  • Research for the purpose of pitch development
  • Summarize research output, and identify red flags, opportunities, and key points for consideration during kick-off and opportunity assessment
  • Upload materials and edit entries in the pitch automation and content management platform and pitch and panel trackers, following pitch submission
  • Monitor and follow up on the outcome of proposals and update the trackers accordingly to ensure accuracy and completeness

Pitch Enablement:

  • Liaise with other teams to update content revised/created in the context of a pitch
  • Shadow Pitch Experts on teleconsultations
  • Guide local offices in navigating the various pitch tools
  • Be engaged in best practices and learning sessions with the Center Leads, Pitch Enablement team, and Expert team to upskill more junior team members

Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience in a business development role in a business and/or professional services environment; law firm experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience in pitch development including writing and project management is a significant advantage
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Able to take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion, to creatively solve problems and implement solutions
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client service focus, flexibility, can-do attitude; motivated and enthusiastic; personal drive and energy
  • Experience in BD/communications in professional services is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Photoshop are good to have
  • Using web-based and library resources for BD intelligence gathering
