Baker McKenzie's Transactional Practice Group is at the forefront of providing commercially astute advice to major Australian and global companies, fund managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.

Some of the group's key areas of specialisation is in complex M&A transactions, privatisations, listed public to private transactions, PPPs, structured finance, major infrastructure (including digital and telco infrastructure), energy, resources and utilities.

About You

  • 2-4 years' experience in corporate transactions and commercial arrangements (such as M&A or projects work)
  • Australian Qualified lawyer with relevant experience
  • relevant energy and renewables transactions experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred;
  • Excellent analytical and research skills and attention to detail;
  • A strong academic background
  • Strong technical and drafting skills;
  • effective written and verbal communications skills;
  • strong commitment to client service, well-developed relationship management ability and ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients.

  • proactive and enthusiastic approach including participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks; and
  • an ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally)
