Biography

David Lee is a partner in the Transactional Practice Group and is based in the Los Angeles office.

David has extensive experience in fund formation and other transactions and activities within the investment management industry. David also regularly represents family offices in a wide range of activities.

Practice Focus

David's work with private investment funds, fund sponsors, investors and investment professionals include:

  • formation and restructuring of private investment funds
  • LP-side investment activities
  • structuring GP-level and investment adviser equity ownership
  • M&A and other transactions in the asset management space
  • investment adviser regulatory compliance
  • hiring and separation of investment professionals

David's work with family offices and their principals includes structuring their internal operations and representing them in a wide range of investment and other transactions.

David also frequently represents clients in joint ventures and other strategic relationships both within and outside the investment management industry.
