Advised issuers on anti-corruption issues in majority- and minority-controlled joint venture transactions in Asia. Conducted due diligence, negotiated compliance-related deal terms that were tailored to the risks presented, and developed risk mitigation strategies.

Advised on M&A anti-corruption, export control, trade sanctions and anti-boycott due diligence reviews of target companies in Europe, Latin America, Asia, in collaboration with the Firm's M&A attorneys in multiple jurisdictions. Counseled on corrective measures, privilege issues during the pre-closing period, post-signing/pre-closing safeguards and post-closing compliance integration issues.

Acted as global anti-corruption compliance counsel for companies under investigation by multiple governments, advising on global compliance framework issues and remediation. Worked hand-in-hand with legal, compliance, finance and internal audit departments of these companies to ensure effective implementation within senior management and global business units. Coordinated global teams comprised of the Firm's compliance attorneys in multiple jurisdictions and also managed collateral legal issues (data privacy, works council consultations, blocking laws).
